Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia, Kristen Michal, visited our Tabasalu production facility
9. October 2025On October 8, 2025, Prime Minister Kristen Michal visited the Tabasalu factory of Maag Food, Estonia’s largest food industry. The Prime Minister was introduced to the factory’s operations and production processes by the Factory Manager Kaido Elias, followed by a constructive discussion with Maag Food CEO Silver Kaur, Maag Food and Maag Agro board member Priit Dreimann, and the owners of Maag Grupp.

We provided the Prime Minister with an overview of our main concerns, including self-sufficiency in pork and poultry, food security, the progress of processes related to the devastation caused by African swine fever in Estonia, and many other issues.

According to Maag Food’s CEO, Silver Kaur, the purpose of the meeting was to introduce the company’s activities and share both concerns and successes. “The meeting was productive. We have now communicated our wishes and perspectives to the highest level and are waiting to see what actions will be taken. I can say that we have done everything on our part to ensure that the issues important to us reach the relevant decision-makers. We would also like to thank the Prime Minister for finding the time to meet with us during such a busy period.”
